MEDIATION COURSES

ADRBC is investing in experienced Trainers and Coaches to deliver Mediation Courses.

Trainer requirements to instruct;
National 40 hour Introduction to Mediation Course

ü You must be a member in good standing with ADR Institute of British Columbia & the ADR Institute of Canada
ü You must have your Chartered Mediator designation or you meet the requirements to be a Chartered Mediator as set forth by the ADR Institute of Canada.

ü You must complete and return the Trainer Application Form to the following email: e[email protected]

Coaching requirements to coach National 40 hour Introduction to Mediation Course

ü You must be a member in good standing with ADR Institute of British Columbia & the ADR Institute of Canada
ü You must have your Qualified Mediator designation or you meet the requirements to be a Q.Med as set forth by the ADR Institute of Canada.
ü You must complete and return the Coaching Application form to the following email: e[email protected]

ARBITRATION COURSES

ARBITRATION INSTRUCTOR ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

ü  Member in good standing of ADRBC and ADRIC.

ü  Chartered Arbitrator (C.Arb) designation or equivalent

ü  Successful completion of the ADRBC arbitration courses Parts I, II and III or equivalent.

ü  Significant experience as an arbitrator or adjudicator.

ü  Experience teaching and facilitating adult work groups or equivalent experience.

ü  Responsible for marking all assignments for courses he/she instructs.

Part I - Basic Law for Arbitrators

Text: Basic Law and Business Administration in Canada, Current Edition

ü  Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the topics covered in the text

ü  Should be or have been a practicing lawyer in a related field or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience in the text topics.

Part II – Conduct of Arbitration

Text: The Arbitration Practice Handbook; ADRIC (2006)

ü  Significant experience as an arbitrator

Part III – Arbitration Skills Workshop – Hearing & Decision Writing

Significant experience as an arbitrator

ü  Experience providing feedback to adult learners

ARBITRATION COACH ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

ü  Member in good standing of ADRBC and ADRIC.

ü  Qualified Arbitrator (Q.Arb) designation or equivalent

ü  Successful completion of the ADRBC arbitration courses Parts I, II and III or equivalent.

ü  Significant experience as an arbitrator or adjudicator.

ü  Experience teaching and facilitating adult work groups or equivalent experience.
