Whether you are interested in a career as a professional Mediator or are acquiring dispute resolution skills to assist or advance your existing career, the National Mediation Training Course (NIMC) is an ideal step towards helping you achieve your goals.
This two part course is strategically designed for Learners to integrate Part I into their work & personal life. It allows you time to practice, reflect and ask questions as you come back to complete Part II. In other words, real learning in the real world!
This robust course provides the Basic 40 hours of ADR Training, required when applying for the Q.Med (Qualified Mediator) Designation, as well as 40 CPD credits at The Law Society of BC.

In the interest of value to our students, this course requires sound comprehension and command of the English Language (listening and speaking). Successful completion will depend on your ability to understand and be understood (competencies subject to assessment).
This course requires full attendance and active student participation at all times. It is necessary to be signed in and visually present (with your camera and mic on) each day. If you have any scheduling conflicts at this time that can not be altered, you will need to wait until the next course is announced.
The times listed for each day (9am-3pm) are guidelines only. Please allow for some flexibility as Coaches will work with students to ensure all goals are being met and may sometimes require additional time or later lunch breaks. In addition, please be aware that readings and reflection are required in addition to regular class hours.
It is beneficial for participants to have some foundational ADR skills training prior to registering for the National Mediation Course.
