Notice of Advertisement - ADRSK Executive Director

ADRSK is looking for a highly skilled Executive Director to help fulfill this important undertaking. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will oversee the strategic and operational efficiencies of our programs and contracted staff. This seasoned leader will not only understand current trends in dispute resolution but will also have experience in developing and implementing a successful resource generation approach. Experience in contracting / hiring and managing staff is essential, and established relationships with local community groups is a plus. Above all, the executive director should be highly effective in a leadership role that requires clear communication skills and decisiveness.

Welcome back to the Mediation Connection Sessions!

Charmaine has over a decade of experience as settlement counsel and neutral professional in all substantive areas of law including, though not limited to, employment and labour, insurance matters, estate disputes, separation and divorce, and physical injury claims, both as a private practitioner and as a contract service provider with the Government of Saskatchewan. A mediator, arbitrator, and case manager for disputes arising out of not-for-profit, family, and sports matters. Facilitator and trainer in negotiation, conflict resolution, collaborative law process, and mediation skills. Sessional lecturer at the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan.

Information regarding Mediation Connection:
The goal of the Mediation Connection is to provide a safe and supportive environment to practice Mediation skills. Mediation Connection will assist those wishing to improve their mediation skills and connect with like-minded Mediators dedicated to Mediation practice improvement and excellence. Mediation Connection provides Guest Speakers and educational sessions relating to Mediation Practice.

Specific Objectives for the Mediation Connection:
    1. Provide an opportunity to practice Mediation.
    2. Practice Mediation in a safe environment with others who have a common interest to learn more about Mediation.
    3. Practice Mediation following the Six Step Mediation Process (PIECES) as outlined by Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada (ADRIC).
    4. To Practice non-violent communication skills.
    5. To allow Participants an opportunity to discuss Mediation issues in general, and to discuss new developments in the profession.
    6. Provide critical feedback of the Mediator’s performance to allow learning and grow
    7. Requests for Mediation Practice Role Plays for the purposes of Q.Med Designations may be accommodated.
