Information and insights about transgender people for mediators
The dialogue around gender diversity is rapidly becoming more common, and the issues are being aired more publicly. In workplaces across the country, there are debates about bathroom access, dress codes and use of pronouns, and these conflicts are playing out at water coolers and in courtrooms. As a mediator, the more information and understanding we have of the issues of gender diversity, the more balanced we can be in our work and the less pushed we’ll be by our own unconscious biases. This session, delivered by the parent of transgender son, will look at how the issues around transgender are playing out in the workplace and what this means for mediators.
