ADRIO Workplace Section Panel, Feb 13, 2018
How effectively does mediation handle power Imbalances in the workplace? When does it work well and when doesn’t it?
Power is a fluid concept with both positive and negative connotations. It can be about coercion and non-cooperative breakdown, or it can be about empowerment and collaborative strength. What new things do we need to consider regarding the relationship between power and conflict resolution in workplaces so that all at the table experience integrity and balance?
This panel of highly experienced conflict resolvers, each member both a lawyer and a mediator, will talk about the different ways that power plays out at the mediation table, and shed light on their own approach to managing power effectively at workplace tables.
