Have you ever worked with someone who did not reach new personal insights from your normal strategies of mediation or coaching?

Laura Crawshaw (the Boss Whisperer) has developed a coaching process that is specifically designed for people who do not learn through the normal processes we use. This workshop will focus on:

a) why we need to work differently with this subset of people
b) how to adjust our typical coaching processes, and
c) practicing some of these techniques

These methods can be used either by internal staff, or in some cases, consultants to the organization.

Janet Schmidt, a certified coach from the Boss Whispering Institute, will present this skills based workshop based on Laura Crawshaw’s techniques.  Janet has been working in the field of conflict resolution and mediation since 1986.

Janet has taught courses in conflict resolution at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg. She has worked in 19 countries including Canada, the US and Mexico, as well as several African, Asian and Middle Eastern countries. In June, 2016, she did a TedX talk entitled “If you could see what I see, you could achieve your dream.” 

Janet’s current focus is in the workplace – facilitating difficult conversations, and designing and leading trainings, assisting managers to be effective leaders in their organizations, and equipping them to deal with the inevitable relational challenges they face in their jobs.

Parking: There is a first come first served visitor lot directly behind the United Way, and ample access to parking on many of the surrounding streets and paid lots.
