Bio
Dr. Evan Hoffman is a Senior Associate at the Canadian International Institute of Applied Negotiation (CIIAN) and a mediator with Concorde Inc.
Dr. Hoffman holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand). He also completed a Master's degree in Post-war Recovery Studies at the University of York, UK in 2001 and an undergraduate degree in psychology at Carleton University, Ottawa in 1999. In 2001 he earned a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) from CIIAN.
Dr. Hoffman has published numerous articles on the themes of conflict prevention and resolution, peacebuilding, and mediation. Plus, he has provided consulting services to Global Affairs Canada (GAC), the Carter Center, the UN, the EU, the Ottawa Police Service, St. Lawrence College (Cornwall), the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice and others on these topics.
Over the last ten years, he’s conducted workshops and trainings with hundreds of community leaders, university students, police officers, and government officials from around the world.

M. Evan Hoffman, Ph. D., est associé principal à L’Institut international canadien de la négociation pratique (CIIAN) et médiateur à Concorde Inc.
M. Hoffman détient un doctorat en science politique de l’Université de Canterbury, en Nouvelle-Zélande. Il a aussi obtenu une maîtrise en études sur le redressement d’après-guerre à l’Université de York, au Royaume-Uni, en 2001 et un grade de premier cycle en psychologie à l’Université Carleton, à Ottawa, en 1999. En 2001, le CIIAN lui a remis un certificat en prévention et règlement des différends.
M. Hoffman a publié de nombreux articles sur la prévention et la résolution de conflits, la consolidation de la paix et la médiation. De plus, il a fourni des services-conseils sur ces sujets à Affaires mondiales Canada, au Centre Carter, à l’Organisation des Nations Unies, à l’Union européenne, au SPO, au St. Lawrence College, à Cornwall, au ministère vietnamien de la Justice et autres.
Au cours des dix dernières années, il a animé des ateliers et des formations pour des centaines de dirigeants locaux, d’étudiants, d’officiers de police et de représentants de gouvernement dans le monde entier.
