Carolina Barrocas - Panel Chair
September 11th
British Columbia was the first jurisdiction in the world to adopt the 1985 United Nations Commission on International Trade Law model in international arbitration. With the scope to become an international hub for arbitration, new acts (one international and one domestic) have been part of the tasks developed by experts.
This panel aims to walk the ADR community through the new acts, addressing the positive effects of the International Arbitration act and the expectations around the new Domestic Arbitration Act.
