Review arbitrator’s role and rules of procedure; practice decision writing; role-play in-person arbitration. Each participant will conduct a minimum of 2 arbitrations and be an observer or given a role to act as plaintive or defendant in others.) Member Price: $1000 Non-Member Price: $1150

CPD Credits: The Law Society of BC (15 hours) and Mediate BC (14 hours)

ICBC Coverage Disputes

½ day; no test

The course is presented in fulfilment of ADRBC’s arrangement with ICBC to provide trained arbitrators for the coverage dispute program, with intensive focus on principles of determining “actual cash value” of wrecked automobiles in documents-only arbitration.

Advanced instruction in statutory arbitration scheme for vehicle damage disputes. Specialized documents-only arbitration training in determination of Actual Cash Value of total loss vehicles.
